Meet your group therapy facilitator!

Michelle Reinhard, LCSW

As a former teacher, education is still very much my passion. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with the tools you need and empower you to move forward without me!

I have also discovered the amazing power of mutual aid. This is when a collective meets for a shared purpose and learns from each other. Often we learn more from others who have been through the same thing and truly understand your experience. That is why I love facilitating group therapy and bringing people together for connection, support, and growth!

  • If you are interested in joining an upcoming therapy group, complete the interest form above to schedule your individual meeting with me to learn more! I will provide details about the therapy group, answer any questions, and make sure this is the right space to support you. • Group therapy session rates vary for each group. Review the information provided for a specific group above to see the appropriate rates.

  • Debit, credit, and HSA/FSA payments are accepted for group sessions.

All services are private pay only. Insurance is not accepted. Superbills are not provided.

What are the benefits of self pay?

Insurance companies require access to client records, mandate what must be disclosed in notes, regulate diagnoses, and dictate type/length of treatment.

When you pay out of pocket, you are guaranteed complete control and privacy over your own treatment.

You should feel safe to discuss your identity, personal choices, and life experience with your therapist. No third party or insurance company should be privy to your most personal details or control your treatment.

  • All group therapy sessions are currently online and are available to all adults (18+) throughout North Carolina. We meet using a HIPPA-compliant and secure video conferencing platform which can be accessed on any computer, tablet, or phone with access to the internet. Online group therapy offers you flexibility to have your sessions from the comfort of home or anywhere that works best for you!

  • When a therapy group first meets, your therapist will begin with introductions, group agreements, and overview of the program. Each session provides space for the therapist to review therapeutic and education material. Most importantly, time is prioritized for participants to share their stories, provide peer support, and ask questions. Every group therapy session will look a little different as they are tailored for the specific people in attendance.

  • One of my greatest values is autonomy. I will never force you to do or say anything that you are not comfortable with. If you are not comfortable sharing something, you don’t have to. However, the beauty and power of group therapy is the mutual understanding and learning we gain from each other. Everyone who joins a group wants to listen, support, and learn from their peers. So, contribute what you can when you are ready!

If you have any concerns or need additional supports, we can also discuss this during our 1:1 call before the group begins!.
